Local metalsmith Ann Thompson facilitates our Bike Parts Art program, which provides a creative outlet for youth to practice self-expression using recycled bike parts. Through the creation of fun and challenging art pieces including bike art mobiles, mosaics, and cars, participants learn the proper names and functions of different bike parts while also developing fine-motor, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bike Parts Art encourages youth to use their imagination and create works of art out of everyday objects.
