The CBC started the Trips for Kids Biddeford chapter in December 2009 with the goal of improving current programming by connecting with other bicycle-related youth focused organizations.

Trips for Kids (TFK) was incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1988 after functioning as a pilot program for two years based in San Rafael, CA. Founder and current director Marilyn Price started TFK with the dream of taking inner city and low-income kids on mountain bike rides in Marin County. The success of TKF Marin prompted Price to expand the program beyond California. TFK now supports over 60,000 “at risk-youth” through 60 TFK chapters operating in the United States, Canada, and Israel.
