The Community Bicycle Center’s staff and volunteers are happy to welcome your child as a new member. Below you will find information about our purpose, our activities with kids, how to stay informed about the CBC, and ways you may consider helping us support your child.

The CBC is a youth development program that uses bicycles and bicycling experiences to help kids develop the life skills they need for healthy development and future success. Children and youth have the opportunities to develop important life skills that will help them in their personal, social, academic, civic, recreational, and vocational lives through participation in CBC activities.

Our activities include:

Please visit our Program Page for more information about program activities and our FAQs page for frequently asked questions. You can view our Google Calendar at the bottom of our website's homepage.

Your child will not be charged any program or membership fee except a $5 – 10 charge for bikes they fix and earn through the CBC. Your child can also earn their bicycle by volunteering at CBC. We currently have grants to give away bike helmets.

How you can help:

The CBC is a non-profit organization, which means that we rely on grants, donations, and volunteer support to run our youth programming. There are many valuable ways for parents to be involved at the CBC such as volunteering your own time in the shop or telling a friend about what we do and encouraging them to stop by. We always welcome parents to spend an hour or even the whole afternoon in the shop with their child. Please ask us about ways for you to be involved and ways you can help us fundraise!  Please click here to make an online donation.
